How To Guides
We have a few short guides to help get you up and running. And in case you don’t find what you need here, you can always get in touch with us. We’d be more than happy to guide you through anything you may need help with.
We also have quite a number of FAQs that might answer any Qs you might have. You can find those here
How do I register on Libib?
Once you have signed up with us, we will create a profile for you on our library portal, and email you once it is ready. To create your password and start reserving books, open up our Libib portal (here), and click on the “Patron Login” link on the top right:
Click on “Need Password?” on the pop-up that appears.
Fill in the email address you used to register with us.
You will receive an email with your new password.
Return to the Libib login page and use this password (together with your registered email address) to login and start borrowing!
Once you are logged in, you can open your profile page (top right corner)…
…to change your password…
…as well as see your current checkouts and holds.
How do I browse the catalogue?
Our catalogue can be browsed by using the search bar at the top of the page. It is defaultly sorted by book title, but you can change this to author (creator), date added to the catalogue, or publish date
You can use our filters (on the right hand side) if you would like to filter down to some particular genres you enjoy. Clicking on any genre under a particular title will also filter our catalogue to show you the titles under that genre
How do I place a reservation?
Once you’ve come across a book you are interested in, you can place a hold for the book by clicking on ”Add Hold.” You can also see how many copies of the book we have in our library, how many are out, and how many reservations (holds) are in place
Once you’re ready with your book (or books for our Hardcore Bookies), click on the basket in the top right corner and “Complete”
We will then let you know when the book is available for you to borrow, and check it out for you once you are at the library. Happy reading!
